This notice covers this website, the free Viral Playbook waitlist, and related emails. The website operator and data controller is Fidias Panayiotou, based in Cyprus, operating The Viral Playbook as an independent education project. 1. Information we collect
- Waitlist details: your first name and email address, registration and update times, and a record of the signup consent version. Providing your name and email is voluntary, but we need both to register you and send updates.
- Correspondence and email records: information you send us, subscription preferences, and email sending, delivery, bounce, or complaint information made available by our email provider.
- Technical information: hosting and security services may process IP addresses, request times, URLs, and browser or device information to deliver and protect the website.
- Optional analytics: if you allow it, browser identifiers, pages visited, traffic sources and campaign tags, approximate country, device and browser type, interactions, performance, errors, and session recordings. Form inputs are masked in recordings; we do not intentionally add your name or email to analytics events.
This website does not take payments or create student accounts. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the waitlist or in routine enquiries.
2. How and why we use information
Your consent: when you submit the waitlist form, you ask to receive program updates and social media insights from Fidias. We use your contact details to manage that subscription and send those emails. Optional analytics and recordings rely on your separate browser choice.
Legitimate interests: we use necessary technical information to run a reliable, secure website, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems. We use correspondence to respond to enquiries and keep limited records where needed to handle complaints or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. These interests must be balanced against your rights.
Legal obligations: we may process information to respond to valid legal requests or meet applicable recordkeeping and data protection duties.
The waitlist does not use automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects. Program selection involves a conversation with the team. We do not sell your contact details.
3. Service providers and international processing
We use the following providers to deliver the website and waitlist:
- Vercel: website hosting, content delivery, and handling website requests.
- Railway: the application backend that passes registrations to our database.
- Convex: storage of new waitlist registrations and consent records in Europe (Ireland).
- Resend: contact and subscription management and email delivery.
- PostHog: optional analytics and session recordings, processed in its US region.
Information is available to team members and service providers as needed for these purposes. It may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
Hosting, email, analytics, and provider support may involve processing outside your country, including in the United States. An Irish database location does not mean that all processing stays in Europe. Where European data protection law applies, international transfers require a valid legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data and how to obtain a copy of applicable safeguards.
4. Cookies, browser storage, and analytics choices
Optional PostHog analytics starts only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Rejecting analytics does not prevent browsing, watching the site video, or joining the waitlist. Analytics consent is separate from your email subscription.
When allowed, PostHog uses cookies and local or session storage to distinguish browsers and sessions, understand visits and conversions, and support heatmaps and recordings. PostHog cookies are configured with a 180-day lifetime, which may renew with activity. Browser storage may remain until you clear it or withdraw permission.
We store your allow or reject choice in local storage under viral-playbook-analytics-v1 until you change it or clear site data. This preference storage remembers your choice and is not used for analytics. The private team dashboard also uses an essential sign-in cookie that expires after eight hours.
You can change your choice below. It applies to this browser and site address; make the choice separately on other devices or browsers. Withdrawing stops further analytics collection, but does not automatically erase information already received. Contact us if you want to request deletion; identifying a browser record may require additional details.

External services, such as YouTube or social platforms, apply their own policies when you follow their links. The video on this site is hosted with the website and loads when you choose to play it.
5. How long we keep information
We keep subscription details while you remain subscribed and they are needed to manage the waitlist and updates. If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing emails; limited suppression and consent records may be retained to respect that choice, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Unsubscribing is not the same as requesting deletion of your waitlist record.
Correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the enquiry and any related dispute. Technical logs, analytics, and backups follow the relevant provider and account retention settings. Retention depends on the purpose, the need to investigate incidents or claims, and applicable legal duties. Contact us for the retention information relevant to your records or to request deletion.
6. Your choices and rights
To stop updates, use the unsubscribe option in an email or write to julio@fidias.biz. The welcome email provides an email-based unsubscribe request. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may object to direct marketing at any time.
Send requests to julio@fidias.biz, preferably from your signup address. We may ask for proportionate information to verify the request. Where the GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month; if a permitted extension is needed, we will explain why within that month. Some records may need to be retained where the law permits or requires it.
You may complain to the data protection authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. European authority contact details are available in the European Data Protection Board directory. You do not have to contact us first.
7. Security and children
The site uses HTTPS, authenticated backend requests, and restricted access to the waitlist and team dashboard. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
The program and waitlist are intended for adults aged 18 or over. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and arrange deletion where appropriate.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required, and we will seek fresh consent where a new use requires it.
